Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
